Music for Music (Your Annual Eclectic Festival)
Become our National Sponsor
Hello, we are reaching out to see if you would like to collaborate with this growing music benefit festival called Music for Music (Your Annual Eclectic Festival), which was founded in Chico last year. This year we are in four different cities, with each festival taking place a different month with different beneficiaries in each local city. There are a few reasons I feel we would make you the perfect company to sponsor and why you will probably be interested in collaborating with Music for Music.
For starters, Our intention is to foster pride and create positive benefits for struggling artistic communities by producing annual music and art festivals in which we showcase all art mediums in the local area, including music, visual arts, and crafts. Due to national budget cuts, many local arts programs and after school programs are becoming a thing of the past, creating a cultural deficit in communities everywhere. We hope to combat this trend by giving 100% of our profits, above production costs, to deserving local music or arts foundations in each city. This year, in Chico, we are benefiting School of Rock with Sid Lewis, amongst three others in various cities.
Both my co-founder, Cameron Scott and I (Marty McLean) are personally invested in the cultural well being of the dying artistic communities of the world. We both graduated from CSU, Chico two years ago; I finished with a double major in Theater and Business Management while he completed a B.A. in Latin American Studies. Music For Music strives to benefit the youth of Chico by ensuring opportunities for artistic development.
Another important reason to consider collaborating with us is the speed with which our project is growing. Last year was MFM's first festival in Chico. It proved to be a success by creating interest in the declining arts programs of the area, creating profits with which to revitalize these programs, and providing a platform for burgeoning young artists. This year, the organization has quadrupled in size. Community members in Humboldt, Lake Tahoe, and Eugene, OR have expressed interest in producing Music for Music festivals in their own towns. In addition, we have confirmed productions teams in four additional cities (New York City, Maui, San Francisco, and L.A.) for next year, making it a total of eight Music for Music festivals in 2014. It is this overwhelming enthusiasm which has prompted the organizations search for funding. With a stable financial backbone, we can make a larger impact in these communities. These funds will go towards various aspects of festival costs. To begin with, in order to have a primarily local festival you need one of two things, perhaps both. First, is a band headliner that will draw crowds of people so that you are able to showcase local talents of all mediums. Secondly, we need advertising funding. In order to market through Newspapers in an effective manner, this can cost upwards of $2,000 if you do it correctly through two or three various mediums. There are also various cost associated with set-up, as far as the actual stages, fence rental, port-a-potties, etc. We have a strong five year plan aiming to expand internationally within the next few years, but in order to do so, we need your help.
With these plans to help the artistic communities of the world become more self-sustainable, we are in need of a large sponsor that can help with production costs. Fortunately, the individuals we have on the MFM team are highly connected and have the ability to secure big-named artists such as Michael Franti and Michael Feinstein. However, so far we have had to remain much more humble in our line-up because of our budget. With financial support, we would be able to start producing multiple festivals a month, with bigger headliners, which could bring tens of thousands of attendees a year to Music for Music events, perhaps hundreds of thousands if marketed properly. This volume of attendance would mean more support spiritually and financially for arts and culture worldwide. With your sponsorship, Music for Music would be able to start changing art programs from being financially dependent on governmental subsidy to a more self-sustainable future. Once Music for Music has enough revenue coming in from the festivals, we hope to open our own facility that will act as a community center for music to further expand our mission. Until then, our projected budget shows us that we need an average of $1,500 - $3,000 for a small town and upwards of $25,000 for a large scale event that would you will find in New York City. The cost is directly associated with the amount of draw and high attendance that the festivals have, therefore giving your business more impressions.
We truly feel that we have a strong positive mission that needs to be heard and utilized. With your help, I believe that we can make a huge difference in helping all communities take a different approach to sustaining their future art programs, art classes, and artistic culture. Thank you, for considering a collaboration with Music for Music (Your Annual Eclectic Festival) and I hope to talk to you soon regarding your sponsorship decisions.
